probably need to do both. If a character has a skill that it is not supposed to have according to SKillLineAbility, it causes all sorts of fucked shit, and the core will remove that skill on logout

I see. Do you know of a good linux tool I can use to edit DBC files? I see this one commonly recommended, but it appears to be for Windows https://github.com/WowDevTools/WDBXEditor

i run it through wine and export to sql then you can use any sql editor you want to easily edit them, then wdbx can import the changes from sql directly into the dbc file
