So, here’s what I see - on Ubuntu, several worldserver processes are running. The top worldserver process is showing 104% CPU usage. If we convert that to Windows measurements, it would be roughly 25% CPU utilization.

Is it intentional that you’re running around 5 worldserver processes on Ubuntu? And are you doing the same on Windows?

In both prints there is only the server running without any other applications.

I imagine that in Ubuntu each thread is considered a process like netword, mapupdates etc. that's why there are several processes but I only started it once.

That's an insane amount of modules though, and that doesn't even include modules that doesn't have a config file.

On my personal computer, a Xeon 2670, the same server consumes just over 5%. I believe that if it were some grotesque error, there would be high CPU usage as well. I know that logically, on a computer with fewer cores, the usage would be higher, but I found it very disproportionate, given that on Windows on the same machine, the average workload was 50%.

Logically it wouldn't automatically produce a higher usage with fewer cores considering azerothcore isn't multithreaded. Yes, if you have 2 versus 4 that would produce slightly different results (depending on the server settings) but 20 versus 4 would make almost no difference.

I can't say what would eat resources like that aside from playerbots and I can't see that config, but with that many modules it's very hard to determine which one is doing it.

On a more willing day, I would come back and compile the clean server, adding them one by one. But I believe that if there were any problematic modules, the behavior would also be reproduced on Windows.
both prints are from the same server, with the same database and settings, exactly the same modules, also on the same machine.

Each worldserver thread is only using 24-30%. That's normal af. What isn't normal is your journald and system log using a core and a half between them.
