since it happens upon closing, I thought it could have to do with saving char data, hence DB interaction

I just used `.learn 25894` to get greater blessing of wisdom, killed the game (pressing the X) and booted it back up and I still have it. I will say though, I always set my GM character to the max player level and add GM equipment etc on login and *sometimes* if I log in and then log back out and then back in again it hasn't actually saved the level

There are a lot of oddities with GM chars for me. Sometimes loot don't show up, relogging makes it possible to loot. Sometimes I can't use commands (like additem etc) and all it says is player not found.
