Since you're refering to the bots as "players" revision just answered you.

I've also told before that if you think a feature / option to remove bots from showing up on /who command make a suggestion on their github

It is in the core so you'd have to add code to the who list to exclude bots. That's not something that'll be officially implemented so it's up to you. It shouldn't be implemented in the official repo anyway since the playerbots are meant to simulate players and removing them from the who list negates that.
