I installed the RacialTraitSwap mod and placed the vendor for it, but he does not offer any services, just goodbye. Is there some setting I have missed?

I know its possible to edit overall damage modifiers for mobs etc.
Is it possible to edit a specific ability from a certain boss?
I am looking at Magtheridon's Lair's Blast Nova. If you fail, its meant to wipe the raid however I'd love to remove the threat of that ability in particular.
