They end up in the same dir as my .exe files on my (very old) Windows version of AC

Thanks, I see. Is there an easy way of going around that? I found this forum post from 11 years ago discussing it https://www.getmangos.eu/forums/topic/83...d-in-game/ is that information still the same these day.

You can override a lot of the DBC info the client displays through addons

Basically, anything that's part of the UI can be changed through addons. Can't change models in the world frame without MPQ edits, but anything on a tooltip or a frame can be done through a ddons
