Yeah thats a good idea, today i actually wanted to start editting Dalaran into maybe something more snowy and frozen like, i couldn't find which .MPQ had the tilesets though, and i cant change Doodads because .m2s are screwed with MWCS, and noggit is bust.

Read it , I think it will help you.

Editing cities is hard..I found the treepath for editing Orgrimmar and there are alot of things I have to do so I gave up for the time being might try later thou.Start with an easier edit such an Azeroth edit ( azeroth areas have less doodads and textures ) then try something harder outland or northrend and later on cities ( just my opinion).NoggIt isn't bust , you need to have an older

version of WoW ( that's why I don't use it either ).To swap m2's and skins you have to "extract folder" containing the desired look of you're new M2 and rename them and then add them back in MWS.To view them you use Wow model viewer.

Example :

I want to use the trees in Hyjal in Hellfire. How do I do that ? I go in common-2.MPQ (using MWS) and look at World\KALIMDOR\HYJAL\PASSIVEDOODADS\TREES you see there M2's and skins , you EXTRACT the folder to you're Destkop and you'll have alot of files like HyjalTree01.m2 , HyjalTree0100.skin , HyjalTree02.m2 , HyjalTree0200.skin ,etc etc.As you have noticed , each M2 has a certain skin.

Then you go to the things you want to change , in this case the supplies in Hellfire located at World\EXPANSION01\DOODADS\HellfirePeninsula\Supplies.Now we see in that folder : HellfireSupplies 01.m2 , HellfireSupplies0100.skin , HellfireSupplies02.m2 ,HellfireSupplies0200.skin , etc etc.

How do you replace ? Go in that folder and pick the M2's and they're skins you want the supplies outside the city to look like.My favourite trees are HyjalTree01 , 02 and 03.I just change the name of these to HellfireSupplies01 , 02 , 03 .m2.After renaming all of the M2's we want and skins we add them in MWS under the original treepath World\EXPANSION01\DOODADS\HellfirePeninsula\Supplies and you're done.Next time you log in game you will see the Supplies transformed into trees (http://www.mmowned.com/forums/model-...-change-4.html proof lol).

Ask if you got any other question.

Quote: You know what's funny, I have this exact change done to my Druid and I never thought about putting it up here. I didn't think there'd be interest, so +Rep for you!
