Finally got my server up and running but when I go to request a signature from a horde bot for a horde guild, the game tells me I can't get signatures from characters from the opposite alliance (or something like that). Any reason why it does this? Did I break something? Is it fixable or should I start over from scratch?

Did you edit your worldserver.conf? There is a setting you have to set to 0. I will check here in a second.

I believe I made a change to allow cross-faction in Auction houses only. I've not seen any part of the guide talk of cross faction beyond the AH.

You will have to download and install the cross-faction module, edit the config file (usually ending in .conf in the module folder labeled as "conf"). There should be a setting to allow crossfaction guilds. There maybe something in the worldserver.conf to allow this, but I am not 100% sure.

And I can find the module on the AC site I'm assuming? Speaking of the Module Folder, I went looking for the directory that housed all the server files and couldn't locate it under the Home directory. Was I looking in the wrong place?

On the azerothcore website there is a catalog link at the top. You can find all the preconfigured modules that are typically plug an play (they usually have guides in the catalog page on how to acquire curtain functionality.) Once you download the module, add it to the path: ./azerothcore/modules/. The server file usually found at path: ./azerothcore/server

thanks for that. I'll have another look here now for that directory first. (I installed Debian with no desktop/gui, So I had to run a live cd on the virtual disk, just to have a nosey in the file system)

Anytime! Make sure you look on the azerothcore website about their file structure. 9 times out of 10, all things typically follow this structure. Good luck!

Look into filezilla and using PuTTy. if you are not comfortable setting up networking, then nevermind. I am running a Debian 12 server. If you have any questions, feel free to send me a pm.
