Sorry again for the long writeup, but I followed your advice and the overload of RAM usage I have been having is definitely an interaction b/w Carbonite and the bots. Following your suggestion, I went to tweak the comms section. Picture is of the default settings.
When I loaded the server without bots, it didn't really matter what checkbox was checked or unchecked. RAM usage remained stable.
When I loaded the server with bots, checking/unchecking most of the settings had little to mild effect on RAM usage, except the sending position data "To zone". That setting had a humongous difference. As along as it was checked, the more I travelled, the more server RAM usage kept going up and up. So it's definitely the culprit.
But here is the bigger issue. So I did the test, had RAM usage go up by +13GB over normal usage before Carbonite, then I logged out. I went on with the rest of my day while the server kept running for the next 12 hours. I came back to check it, and RAM usage hadn't dropped. It remained at 28.5GB.
So I don't know exactly how all of that was creating this much RAM usage, but more importantly, why did the server not release that RAM after all this time?
