in case it can help someone else, my mistake was that i needed to delete the cache folder in my wow installation

I dont recall from head but visually like stat values required client patching if not wrong. But it's only visual. The server will know what's the correct value (as you changed on the server).
Client says "4 attack power" but you've 8 in your database it's 8
