Quote:Hello everybody! I joined this site a long time ago, and have since only tried to leech off other people's edits. However, after patch 3.0.3, it seemed people just stopped making perfect model edits.

That's when I got annoyed and finally decided to try and learn how to model edit myself. Following the ideas from old guides, I finally managed to make a nearly perfect character swap for Gnome Male to Undead Male.

This model works with CypherMorph.

Screenshot:

ImageShack Screenshot #1
ImageShack Screenshot #2

The good:
Has a jaw fix.Has face fixes (all gnome faces equal other undead faces).Has hair fix.

The bad:
STEALTH CURRENTLY NOT WORKING.Different hair color sometimes changes some color on the body. (I'm working on fixing this right now and will update the file if I fix it.)

How to install:
Download the RAR.Extract it to anywhere you want.Open the folder, copy the MPQ file and paste it inside of your World of Warcraft "Data" folder.Rename it to patch-3 (or any number between 3 and 9).

So, just to make sure you did this right, in the end you should see my MPQ file in your World of Warcraft Data folder, and it should be called patch-3.MPQ instead of the original name.

On a closing note, I think for my first ever model edit attempt I did a pretty good job. I also might do more in the future.

If you guys could please +rep me if this helped you that would be great so I can finally get rid of this leecher status. [Image: biggrin.png]

Thanks.

Quote: i was wondering how you made the gnome-undead model change. i used to make my own and was wondering if the process has changed. you used to be able to just switch out the m2 models via warcraftstudio, from the patch.mpq but my wow crashes now. it starts up using wowme or cypher but once ingame theres a graphic leak and it closes. wondering if u could help explain the process.

im trying humanfemale - undead male

Quote: @Albis

You need all the files not just the m2. you need the skin, blp, anim files.

@Dropout

Have you tested your Edit with a Rouge? With the HuM>UdM swap wow chrashes when ever a rouge goes into stealth.
