Ethernet / RJ-45 cable is the correct name of it. Cat X refers to the category of the cable. Cat 5 is pretty old. But dont think is the issue, are you using any proxies or vpns?

I run my server on hyper-V Debian VM. it has 2 network interfaces:
eth0 (which hyper-V gave it)
and zt6ntmpphm (I try to use ZeroTier to play with friends instead of port forward )

When I set it up using this guide (https://www.azerothcore.org/wiki/debian12-install-guide)

and at the last part I had to run this on the SQL:
UPDATE acore_auth.realmlist SET address = '0.0.0.0' WHERE id = 1;

which basicly limits the usage for only 1 interface if I understand correctly
