I loaded the data from github and then ran cmake then formed the core and since then I've been getting the error with the %.*S.
I left everything standard

Backup your database if you've anything to lose. Than redo your database. And set it again

I have just completely reloaded the core and then created it so no changes were made - everything is as from the github page.

nothing changed even after reloading everything

I understand your frustration but there's nothing to more we can assist if what I suggested above so went fix it. You could record all the instalation process you did and we could see if you did something wrong
