Im also able to easily edit my gear as it upgrade because this model edit is made in two part. 1st part is swaping old items such as T6 into the T8 black/green set into a patch-X.MPQ and the 2nd part is to swap my gear into the T6 via an hex editor. So i can just delete my itemcache as my gear upgrade to get a new one and then simply change the 4 digits codes again.
Also the boot fix that Im talking about is because the ulduar leather boots doesn't have the right body on live. Just look at the one on my SS and then go check some boots from ulduar on live, like Flamestalker Boots. So since boots body/skins doesn't seem to be into the blizzard's mpq anymore(unlike shoulder/helm), the only way you can can fix this is to find some boots with the same model and swap its texture with the T8's one (like the T6 rogue boots).
Anyway, here is my screenshot:
