Why was the real reason AC has drop MariaDB support? MariaDB is far more better, with new technologies, more scalable, it's faster than Oracle MySQL. So... why MySQL AC stick with dinosaur while other modern software drop off MySQL rather than MariaDB?

AC performs better with MySQL, MariaDB users have reported slower start ups. We have to choose one or another since they’re not compatible 100% so we chose MySQL.

MariaDB is built from MySQL 5.7 functions and they’re not planning to update it in the foreseeable future, so long term it would turn just plain incompatible.

It’s explained in the PR that dropped MariaDB support.

Fair enough if AC works better with MySQL but I could argue about funcionality in MariaDB. 10.11 vs MySQL 8 is like Ferrari vs VW both are cars but engine is totally different while both need same fuel.
