Do I need to get rid of the old ssl version? Bcs it still shows 1.1.1f after `openssl version`

And I removed the whole azerothcore folder and redownloaded it every time I started from the beggining

theoretically it should update when I install 3.x
but that didn't happen for some reason.

yes you should remove it, no, it doesn't update and keeps both installs
