If you don't have multiple network interfaces, you don't *have to* edit them.

Chromiecraft should be good. I had HEARD there were issues with the realmlist.wtf not saving and reverting back to chromiecraft servers but that was some time ago.

Yeaaaaah, I get it now. I reverted that commit on my end for now because it causes all kinds of errors all over the place.
