Am I heading down the right path getting into AzerothCore if what I want is to play wow free with a few friends and have some control over the game so we can skip the tedious parts of travel and matching levels?

Oh, is it easy/possible to move game data between installs if I need to migrate hardware. Got a not-strong server I was gonna use, and I have plans to upgrade one of the gaming desktops in the house soon (replacing it with something win11 compatible), would be nice to move the data over. Is it just a matter of copying config files and migrating the SQL database?
