Its always using ID 80031 which I guess is mysql 8.0.31

Redundant question... did you install following the compile? (Not a windows person when it comes to servers so forgive me). On linux we have to do the make and then the make install commands. I make this mistake in the dead of night when I should go to sleep at least once every few weeks...
