gearME now uses a text file for storage of your display id's "character.txt"
this is to make the whole process less tedious and more user friendly for people who just cant seem to understand batch scripts, and command line interfaces.
and again, display ids can be found by viewing the source code of wowhead items.
Please visit emupedia for further information, readme & download.
Keep in mind that this has no effect on your character at the character selection screen. You may feel as if gearME has not worked when you see this, I assure you.. login and you will be happy.
and as always, use at your own risk.

"wow.exe found.. Handle obtained!
reading character.txt...
character.txt loaded successfully! and then the i agree/disagree. i type "i agree" and when i log in nothing has changed :/
I might not be the best with computers i suppose i do the right thing?
Please help me! Or is it just xp i wont work with?

it works for me on my xp desktop computer and my vista laptop.
@dualknight - you dont type 'i agree' you press 1, then hit enter.
also, like it said in the readme u need to run as admin. it dosent work on my computer when i dont run as admin. so make sure u right click -> run as admin or whatever
