Quote:Yeah well hey ppl. It's been a while.

Ive been working on some new tools last week and you can call this my show-off. After Taliis "Tîntai" is my second public WoW-Tool. What Taliis made to ADT Files Tîntai will do for wmo: Allow you to manipulate Client Data in a way that the Official Client will still eat it.

In the current state of development (5 days, lol) Tîntai is able to export any v14 and v17 wmo to the OBJ File format. To show off that there is no Limitation I just decided to do this lill Showoff.

Yes. Its the alpha IF. Shown in glc_player

Smal view to the "balconys"

The second ring also had alot of buildings. Nowadays its removed. But what do we care?

The mystery "underground" of Ironforge

So.. Hope this was enought to show that I'am not kidding [Image: wink.png]

In order to keep the rules of this forum I put a simply building (in OBJ Format) to the attachments. pw should be taliis4ever (maybe with capital letter)

More releases (and the tool itself) will follow soon and depended on interest.

Quote: Finally! I really do hope you finish this tool because it's something this community needs badly!, I will start making edits once again if you finish this wonderful tool.

Just a question on (Tîntai is able to export any v14 and v17 wmo to the OBJ File format) Will it be able to re save it as a wmo file after?, Or could you just edit the wmo in Tîntai and save it without exporting it?

Quote: Tîntai wont include it's own Editor. There tons of Obj Editors out atm. Of course there is many stuff that could "need" an own editor. Such as placeing Doodads. But this topic is sort of "far away" from me in this state of development.

Tîntai will be able to export WMO to OBJ (as it already does) and of course it will also do so backwards.

The main issue in wmo creation is that too many things are not absolute know. Thats why I see alooot of debuging and testing comming along to me.

Due my understandings I can allready tell what will happend when:

- Adding/Removing and placing doodads: Very soon.

- Changing Textures: also very soon.

- Modding a known wmos Vertexes: very soon

- Adding own Mechs and Vertexies: first advanced issue ...

- Full controll over Materials and Effects: I think never o.O

- Portals: seems to be easy. But its not on my scedule

- creating wmo's from zero (important for copyright issues): final goal

Quote: This is awesome! I want to express myself in wow with new 3D models ect. But almost every tool for stuff like this is broke, or just behaving weird. [Image: frown.gif]

Can't wait for this to take progress! [Image: biggrin.png] I might go back into World building and just Model Editing in general again if this turns out great!

Just wondering: When you export something, does it export all the textures with it, and does it split the exported model into meshes after texture id?

Thanks for doing a tool like this! [Image: smile.png]

Quote: I have two questions:

1. Will this work with pre wotlk (2.x.x) wmo's?

2. Will there be an export to wmo function.

Anyways, great work.
