What is this?

This is a mod that makes all Night Elf characters look like pre-TBC Blood Elves. It's client side, this means that only you on your screen will be able to see the changes. It works with vanilla WoW patch 1.12.1, I didn't test it with other expansions.

DOWNLOAD (692KB)

How to install

Be sure to close your WoW client and delete WDB folder (it's the game cache) inside your WoW path (ex. C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft) before installing this mod, otherwise you wont be able to see the changes.Unzip “Nelf2Belf.zip” anywhere on your hard disk then move “patch-3.mpq” file to the Data folder inside your WoW path (ex. C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Data).Start your WoW client and enjoy!

How to uninstall

Simply delete “patch-3.mpq” file from your WoW Data folder and then clear you WoW game cache by deleting your WDB folder inside your WoW path (ex. C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft), also be sure to turn off your WoW client before uninstalling this mod.

How does it work?

By adding “patch-3.mpq” file in your WoW Data folder you will temporarily replace original Night Elves textures with pre-TBC Blood Elves textures. Original textures will be restored as soon as you delete “patch-3.mpq” file from your WoW Data folder (refer to “How to uninstall” topic).

Known bugs

The only bug I found is that all the NPCs that use Night Elf hair textures will have blonde hair, let's call it “Barbie world glitch”.

Credits

I made this mod by using “MyWarCraftStudio”, “MyDbcEditor 1.2.2”, “BLPConverter” and an image editor.
