Hello,
I am running the latest VIP 9.1 repack from this site.
I have two friends outside my network that connect in to play.
They constantly get kicked from the server after 10 minutes or so of play.
I know it's not the repack, as I created a new server, different repack, and get the same result.
I was wondering if anyone can help with this?
I have port forwarded, and added firewall rules on their PC's.
Something is kicking them.
Please help.

Hello,
Removing DOS protection from the router has seem to decrease the kicks.
However, they still proceed to be kicked, every 30 minutes or so now.
The World server logs show: Not received CMSG_TIME_SYNC_RESP for over 30 seconds from player xx (XXXX), possible cheater
After 7 entries, or more, the player gets disconnected.
I was told that this is just a warning, and does not actually do anything.
Any help to remove this error from the logs, and thus having players stay connected longer will be greatly appreciated.

Hello there,
Thank you for your reply.
Warden is set to 0
Anti-Cheat is set to 0
Firewall is off.
Odd, thank you for your reply though.

Sounds strange yeah. The opcode is just visual, but we fixed this in version 10 (next upcoming release). But as you say yourself, it's not the repack. I've not heard or occured this on my own either, nor has my testers.
It kinda sounds like it's a network issue.
Perhaps try to search (in worldserver.conf)
Logger.network=3,Console Server
And change the value to =2 and eventually name it "network" and see if anything comes up in that file. Maybe some useful information.
And you don't have some fancy Anti virus system kicking in, do you?
@Jack Sparrow - Any second thoughts about this issue?

Hello, and thank you for your reply.
I am only running Windows Defender as a AV, nothing more.
The server is running on a Giogabyte Brix, only 8GB of ram... Windows 10.
All ports are seen as open.
With the V10 update, do you have a time frame in mind of a release for that?
I look forward to seeing your hard work.

Here is a thought...
Would Hamachi VPN create a more direct tunnel to the server, then Port Forwarding?
I have been toying with the idea of trying Hamachi, but I did read that the software overhead makes it a less efficient option over port forwarding.

no idea about hamachi, if you have network debugging tools open it can interfere with server
Quote:Sikuri said:Yeah it most likely would, it's a direct connection so it would be worth trying.
