Hopefully, this is the right place to post this question - I'm running the free version of the MOP 5.4.8 emucoach repack. I started playing a goblin, got to the "Lost isles" zone and logged out for a bit. When I logged back in the volcano had erupted and the zone was completely transformed, no quest givers, no quests. I assume the instanced zone I was in progressed somehow even though I didn't continue at that point. I had to .tele to a hub city and just go from there. But is there a gm or server command I can use to reset a zone instance/event? I'd like to actually see how that story/starter campaign plays out. Thanks for any help you can provide.

I've also found the Goblin (and Worgen) starter zones to have instancing issues. For my server, what I've had players do is start as another race and level up to 20. Then you can use the .character changerace <name> command to allow them to customize their character on the character select screen, during which they can choose to change their race into Goblin.

It's just a workaround for now, but it does the trick. Any missing spells as a result of this method that the player might need can be given with the .learn command. (i.e., Two Forms for Worgen).

Interesting. So the player basically just skips the instanced portion of those races then? I wonder if there's any fix incoming to actually fix these instances though. I'd really like to experience those zones/quests.
