[Archive] Need help with installing the Server

Hi. I tried to install the MOP Repack. The Server is starting, but is shutting down direktly. it says failed to start Network but port 8085 is open. I post the log as a attachment here. Has anyone an idea how to fix that

Hey Marius, seems the port is already used. Do you have another worldserver launched ?
I guess you are on personnal desktop computer, did you try a reboot ?

The server runs on a winows server with windows server 2019 as OS. after trying many diffrent ports somehow a change to port 29999 in the worldserver.conf has solved the problem. After i figure out how to create accounts the server seems to be installed completly

I did have same issue with my Windows Server 2022 firewall, even disabled it still continue to block some ports until you create rules for each ports...

You also need to change it inside the Auth database, Realm table. There should be a port specifying 8085 currently, that you will need to adjust.
(If I recall correctly)

i changed in the mop_auth the realmlist and realmlist proxy already to the port

And players still have problems joining externally?
Try to enable it in your firewall too

for the purpose of testing i shut down the whole firewall. The IP in the DB is also the public ip of the rootserver, but the server is shown as offline and player can´t join. the prots are free in the firewall udp and tcp for in and out
